"impression" at first sight

Damai, Damai wat did i make of tis name?Bad impression, i thot at first.The school motto,Faith,charity and hope.Huh, wat kinda faith?As an own-willed christian,(tht means i believe in Christ "at my own risk",not my parents asking me 2 but i myself wanted 2.)I was wondering wat kinda faith.Buddhist faith?Or wat? Hmmn......i pondered long......

We checked da school website,asked any of the students around if they had the badge of the school,which usually should be on the shirt.But wat was only visible was"dss" which of course meant Damai Secondary School.

Alas, though unsure of the school motto,i placed my first choice as it.My parents had said,"Mil,if ur faith in the Lord is strong, you won't be influenced." Nevertheless,i was still not comforted by their words.My dream school was Pasir Ris sec but considering the distance from home to there(i live in bedok,rite next 2 my pri sch) it was a total no-no from my parents.So, i placed it as second.

With confidence "knocked down",i had a heavy heart.True enough the fateful day came 4 the results of posting.As i opened the report book,my eyes fell:
Damai Secondary School
Ahh.....the ocean of truth was laid before me.i felt happy n sad n a little twinge of disappointment.Happy 4 my parents who had made the right choice.Sad tht i had to be in tis sch.Disappointed tht my dream sch was taken by some other person.

The score 2 get into Damai was 218.Gettin 224 for PSLE was quite a great achievement 4 me.Though merely scraping thru,i managed 2 get into da first class of the EXPRESS stream.The highest in my class was a guy and got 24_ (couldn't quite remember)

On da 1st day, during recess i spent my entire time watching other ppl in da canteen.i had no appetite 4 anythin.In fact,i was preparing to immerse myself in melancholy...........
